Bea's Music Teaching Aids (BMTA) was founded in 1976 in Dallas, Texas by piano teacher, Beatrice Carney. Through her teaching experiences with children and adults in individual and group lessons, she discovered there was a need for materials that could inspire and elicit excitement in learning music. So, she developed a few wonderful products, including the very popular Bea's Keys, that have helped piano teachers and students all around the world.
Bea Carney has now retired to Arkansas and has passed her business on to her granddaughter, Laura Smyczek, a piano teacher and mother of three in Wisconsin.
